Over the course of the next few months I’ll review each of these items, which I recently purchased from glutenfreely.com during their 30% off sale. This purchase is stemming from recently (June 29th) starting a gluten free diet because my doctor said it would reduce overall inflammation. I do not have celiac’s disease nor a gluten intolerance.

I do, however, love to bake and I am missing the joy of combining ingredients and then savoring the mouthwatering results. I have branched out and tried baking with oat, almond and corn flours but there are only so many containers of flours I can keep in my cabinets. And boy do I miss my Bisquick pancakes.

The purchase from glutenfreely.com consists of:
1 of Gluten Free Pantry Gluten Free All Purpose Flour.
1 of Gluten Free Pantry French Bread and Pizza Mix.
1 of Betty Crocker Dessert Mixes Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookie Mix.
1 of Orgran Gluten Free Wild Raspberry Fruit Filled Biscuits.
1 of Betty Crocker Dessert Mixes Gluten Free Yellow Cake Mix.
2 of Betty Crocker Dessert Mixes Gluten Free Brownie Mix.
1 of Udi’s Gluten Free Plain Bagels 4 Count.
3 of Bisquick Gluten Free.
1 of Glutino Gluten Free Chocolate Vanilla Creme Cookies.
1 of Udi’s Gluten Free Whole Grain Bread.
1 of Schar Gluten Free Multigrain Sandwich Bread.
1 of Betty Crocker Dessert Mixes Gluten Free Devils Food Cake Mix.
1 of Udi’s Gluten Free Blueberry Oat Muffin Tops.
1 of Gluten Free Pantry Perfect Pie Crust Mix.
1 of Chebe Gluten Free Cinnamon Roll Mix.
1 of Cause You’re Special Gluten Free Hearty Biscuit Mix.
1 of Gluten Free Pantry Yankee Cornbread and Muffin Mix.

Let me know if there are any items you’d like me to review as soon as it arrives on my doorstep.

Edit: It arrived!

  3. I am also a fan of Udi’s breads. I think they are the best I’ve tried for toast and sandwiches. I find I don’t like most dry baked good made with rice flour unless it’s good when heated to the point of wet mushy rice-starchness. I’ve had the most luck baking with buckwheat flour, almond flour, and coconut flour. However, I’ve found that each of the above flours should not be mixed with other types of flour. My baked goods turn out grainy if I mix almond or coconut with any other nut flour. Peanut butter and cashews are also fun to work with for cookies and creamy desserts respectively. I do like oat flour flavor but it turns out heavy. Also, as a confident baker of non gluten-free goods I know the general consistency of batters/dough. I just tweak until I feel good about the batter. I notice that the GF stuff needs MUCH more liquid added. Once you go through your cache of pre made stuff I would love to swap GF knowledge gleaned. Also this recipe is amazing http://www.elanaspantry.com/orange-cake/ Lots of love on your adventures in SF!
